  • E-Learning Instructional Designer

    We are looking for an instructional designer to join our e-learning team and work on a range of national e-learning projects, primarily for the UK healthcare sector. The key duties of the role are:

    • Establishing an appropriate learning approach dependent on the course requirements, target audience analysis and discussion with subject matter experts (SMEs)
    • Creating a lesson plan and storyboards and sourcing additional assets as required for the e-learning courses in collaboration with the SMEs
    • Managing the SME relationship during course development
    • Ensuring the storyboards are accurate and complete, and are delivered to e-learning developers in a timely and efficient manner
    • Quality controlling the built e-learning courses created by the e-learning developers to ensure that technical development of content reflects the storyboard designs, providing advice and guidance to ensure the final version is of high quality from both a technical and educational perspective

    We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of e-learning design principles and experience in instructional design, especially for adult learning, and any previous experience in healthcare would be a distinct advantage.

    The holder of this position will (working to defined targets) be responsible for developing and securing new business opportunities for The Workforce Development Trust and for client relationship management within their defined area. They will be responsible for growing The WD Trust’s presence and customer base and its value to employers.

    Core responsibilities will include achieving agreed year-on-year new business and revenue targets through preparing and implementing business development plans and strategy consistent with The WD Trust’s corporate objectives.
